I have enjoyed taking Suki for a walk each morning down in the Hallow. The colors are gorgeous and the leaves on the path have that lovely crunch sound.
The celebrations have been fun as well. Our ward had a Fall Harvest Festival. The kids dressed up for the occasion:
Kayden dressed up as Nintendo's Link and Josh decided last minute he wanted to be a nerd.
They had all sorts of games and activities for the kids to do including face painting. Kayden really wanted BYU painted on his face. However, I think our face painter must have had a case of Dyslexia! He is cute nonetheless.
On Halloween morning, all the kids dressed up for school:
Josh and Jaxon all ready to go. Jaxon is entering that, "I think I am getting too old for Halloween" stage.
McKay has always had the spirit of Halloween and dressed up this year as a blind referee. He looked great!
Link all ready for a day at 1st grade.
The elementary school has a fun tradition where the kids parade through the school to show off their costumes:
After school and a homemade pizza dinner, Josh and Kayden went out for a night of Trick-or-Treating together. Jaxon went out with a bunch of friends--actually most the night he was the only boy amongst six beautiful, fun girls. He was glad when his friend JD joined him later as he had grown tired of the comments he was getting about he being the only boy at each door.
Trick-or Treat!
The weather this year was absolutely wonderful. This gorgeous sunset was most enjoyable while walking around the neighborhood.
At one house they had tasty hotdogs for everyone to eat. Then they had a place to sit down and watch Harry Potter. It was fun to sit and rest and enjoy a break.
They also had hot chocolate and a fire going to stay warm.
After Trick-or-Treating wound down, McKay and Jaxon watched the movie Signs with some friends. Jaxon had the girls he was Trick-or-Treating with over for the movie. I had a good laugh while cleaning up the kitchen and listening to the girls scream at the intense parts of the movie.
What a fantastic Halloween. Now pardon me while I go and raid my kids' candy bowl!
