Kayden's Karate Advancement

Kayden has been working hard and has advanced to another belt!

I loved to see how much he had improved since his last belt test.  I noticed right away that he has a really high kick!

 

 The belt advancement ceremony.  He has both belts on the ground and he places his hand in the shape of a triangle on his new belt.  Then I get to tie it on him.

Fourth Grade Field Trip

I was lucky enough to accompany Kayden and his 4th grade class to the Utah State Capital Building.  I hadn't been there for many years and enjoyed the tour and the field trip very much.  But most of all I loved hanging out with Kayden and his buddies.

McKay

McKay was playing around with the settings on my phone all while wearing his new Star Wars NASA t-shirt the Easter Bunny brought him.  He's all too cool in this picture to not post it!

Easter 2018...A Week Early

The Easter Bunny came early this year.  We had to contact him to let him know we would be gone on actual Easter because of spring break and asked if maybe he could come a week early so the boys could enjoy their baskets.

The Easter Bunny was tricky this year and it took the boys a while to find their baskets.  It was a fun Easter weekend, even if it did come a week early.

Basketball Season Wrap

This was Josh's second year playing Bantum basketball for Lone Peak. It was a season full of ups and downs, but Josh grew as a player and had lots of fun.  I am so proud of how hard he worked and the relationships he made with his teammates.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

A patient gave Jeremy some great tickets to the BYU vs Utah baseball game.  It was chilly, but we had a great time.  BYU won!

Battle of the Books 2018

Kayden competed in the Battle of the Books at school again this year. While his team didn't do as well as he had hoped they would, Kayden read all 20 books on the list this year and received a really cool award and was recognized for doing so.

There was only one other student in Kayden's class along with Kayden and his teacher that read all 20 books.

Basketball Champs 2018

 There were some intense tournament games, but Josh and Team Amigos won the American Fork Recreation Center Basketball Championship!  These boys are so fun to watch and they truly enjoy playing together.

After the game Jeremy treated the team to Cold Stone ice cream.  It was fun to celebrate as a team.  Go Amigos!
