Clear Creek

Kayden had his turn at Clear Creek this summer.  Best part?  He got to go with his buddy Josh and another friend from school.  Worst part?  They shortened Clear Creek from a week stay to a 2 1/2 days stay.  Kayden was sad to have missed out on a full week but he loved the time that the did spend there.

 The first day...

...some fun in the middle...

Cooking Class

Kayden and Josh took some cooking classes this summer from a good friend of mine.  They loved the classes and came home with yummy food every day.  One day was a cake decorating class.

Josh took his new cooking skills and invited a couple of girls from the neighborhood to pass on his new knowledge.

Pioneer Day

Here is how Jeremy enjoyed Pioneer Day:

He was wiped out from a busy summer and work schedule!  The rest of us enjoyed the pool, some BBQ and good conversation.

The puppies enjoyed some relaxation time as well.  Fluffy puppies!

TIbble Fork

We have enjoyed going up to Tibble Fork in American Fork Canyon to hang out, picnic and to play in the water.  This year we decided to go up in the evening and picnic for dinner.  We had a great time playing with cousins and being in the mountains.

We enoyed the cooler air while playing on the beach.

I told the kids that if they jumped in the frigid water I would give them a dollar.  Josh and Olivia went over the docks to check out the conditions.

 Josh jumped first.

Olivia was next to take the plunge

It took everyone a bit to commit to jumping in, but all the kids did it.  It was a fun afternoon.

Last Scout Camp

Other than the fact that the church announced that they are no longer participating in the scouting program, Jeremy attended his last scout camp as scout master.  After 8 years he has been released from scouts.  However, this was Kayden's first summer scout camp and he loved it.

They started the week out by attending the temple to do some baptisms.

The rest of the week was spent in the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Bear Lake.  They had a busy week:

It was a successful scout camp and everyone had a good time--even though I don't think Kayden changed his clothes once.  Jeremy loved being Scout Master, especially for all four of his boys.  He will miss it.

Josh at EFY

Josh got to attend EFY with his friend, Eli.  This is the last year that BYU will host EFY so Josh was pretty lucky to be able to go.  In fact, they made the announcement while Josh was at EFY.  He loved being there and was a little sad that it was the last year for EFY.

 Josh and Eli day one.

The end of a great week.

Dogs and Dogs and Dogs

Oakley left us in the middle of June but he came back for a little visit.  His people wondered where he had run off to.  We sure enjoyed his visit though!

Oakley loves the waterfall--and his ball.

Oakley loves Jeremy most of all.  Boston worked his way in on the fun too.

 Our three dogs....well, you know.
Potty training with treats.  Boston got them away from me somehow.

He stole my water bottle too!

4th of July Weekend

We love the tradition of going up to Idaho Falls to celebrate the 4th of July.  It is something that we look forward to every year and this year did not disappoint.

Lance, Juli and Jeremy decided to run a 5K to the 4th of July breakfast.

Flag ceremony at the breakfast.  Oh Jaxon's hair!

Camron and Kayden at the parade.

We played some volleyball down by the river:

 Jaxon's got moves!

 Brotherly love.

 Kayden serving.

The puppies hanging out with everyone by the river.  Suki tolerates Boston now, especially when he holds still!

Jeremy hanging out with the puppies.  Suki, Boston and Piper (Samantha's and Lance's puppy).

We did some boating and played in the river:

We went and saw the fireworks:

And we went and did some hiking up near Targhee.  There was some beautiful scenery!

It was a great weekend!  Happy birthday America!

Jazz 3 on 3 Trouney Year Two

Josh and his buddies played in the Jazz 3 on 3 tournament again this year.  There weren't any Jazz player sightings this year, but they had a good time, and the weather was much better than the boiling heat from last year!

The boys are all set ready to go!

In action

Hot and tired.

Dirty boys at the end of play.  They played great!
