Easter 2017

We had a fun weekend celebrating Easter!  Cousins were in town and we had a great Easter egg hunt at grandma's house.

Grandma had all the adults help her and Grandpa hide Easter Eggs throughout the backyard.  Each egg had a name on it and everyone had to find just their own 10 eggs.  Kayden did some looking in one of the apples trees but became stuck between the trunk and a couple of branches.  He was pretty funny about it even though he got scratched up.  He recruited Becca and Bryan to help him look in the tree.  Jaxon had his friend Jake with us and he helped Jaxon find all of his eggs.  McKay searched and searched for his last egg until it was discovered that his last egg had his name on it and his cousin Lachlan's name on it.  I had put it away having seen Lachlan's name on it thinking it was a mistake.  Once we had it figured out all was well.  But it was sure fun watching all the kids search for all their eggs.

Sunday morning we had an Easter hunt with the boys.  The Easter Bunny had brought money filled eggs with the letters of their name on them (a tradition that has been done since McKay knew how to spell his name).  They searched throughout the whole basement looking for their eggs.

Then they all had to search throughout the whole house to find their own Easter bundle.  That is a tradition that started last year.  Each bundle has some of their favorite things in them along with a gift and box of cereal that isn't usually found in the house.

Most importantly we were able to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  It is because of him that families can be together forever!  I can't picture heaven without my family there.  Happy Easter!
