We had a great spring break this year, despite the weather. We found ourselves trying new things and going on new adventures. We went to the movies on the first day of spring break and saw "How To Train Your Dragon". Jeremy was even able to extend his lunch hour and come with us. Grandma and Grandpa also came along and enjoyed the movie. On Tuesday, we went to
Kangaroo Zoo. The kids went crazy and ran from bounce house to bounce house and from slide to slide. We were there for a good two hours. The kids were great and they had a lot of fun. Even Kayden learned to climb the ladders and go down the big slides by the time we were through. On Wednesday, we went to Chuck E Cheese after lunch. Yes, that is right, after lunch. We used a coupon for just tokens and avoided bad pizza for the day. Plus, McKay and Jaxon took their report cards and received an extra 15 tokens each for their good grades. After Chuck E Cheese, we went to Krispy Kreme and used their good report cards. They each received a half dozen doughnuts for good grades. Tasty! On Thursday we went to the zoo. (Sadly I forgot my camera for all these events.) We went with a good friend of ours and Grandma too! We enjoyed saying hello to all the animals and having a picnic lunch. On Friday, Jeremy and I took the boys to another movie "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" or as Josh would say "Diarrhea of a Wimpy Kid". It was a fun movie and the boys enjoyed it. Afterward we took off to a
hotel near West Valley that had a water slide in it. We all had a great time. And this time, I remembered my camera!
Kayden loved the water slides that were just for him. This kid is a fish. He couldn't get enough of the pool. He was very upset that we wasn't allowed to go down the big slide with his brothers. He wasn't tall enough.
My little fish.
Josh had a great time at the pool as well. He was tall enough to go down the big slide and after much convincing and some extra help from mom (who also went down the slide), he loved it!
Jaxon taking a dip in the hot tub.
Josh taking a turn down the small slides.
McKay taking a break, being cool.
This is either McKay or Jaxon going down the slide. I have two pictures just like this. I barely missed them coming out of the slide.
After Josh went down the slide.
On Saturday morning we we woke up, we drove straight down to LaVell Edwards Stadium to watch our BYU cougars in their spring Blue and White scrimmage. Before the scrimmage, the boys get to go down on the field and participate in drills with members of the team. They had a great time.
Josh and Kayden playing catch with the football down on the field. Check out some future BYU players doing some drills below. What a great way to wrap up a fun filled spring break!
