Timp Caves

Jeremy and Jaxon were off to scout camp, but we stayed busy with our visiting cousins.  We decided it was time to take the cousins with Grandma and Grandpa and go and see what Timpanogos Caves are all about.

At the trails head.  It was a nice day for a hike.  We were worried about the heat, but we had some cloud cover and a nice breeze.

Kayden was thrilled to bring his hiking stick along--that is until it broke.

 Along the trail.

At the top of the trail ready to go inside the caves.

Kayden (left) is showing the beautiful view behind him at the top of the mountain. Josh inside the cave (top) and Josh with the caramel formation behind him (bottom).

After we finished hiking and enjoying the caves and also a nice picnic lunch in the rain, we drove to Pleasant Grove where we had heard a scout troop draped a flag at the mouth of one of the canyons for the week of the 4th of July.  It was a beauty to behold.

We all enjoyed seeing it--except for Kayden who was very grumpy that we stopped here before going and getting ice cream.

It was a nice day and a good way to spend time with cousins!
